Job Description

The Consumer Banking Data Information Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting and analytics that support the Consumer Banking division. This role partners closely with Retail Banking, Finance, Marketing, Product Management, and Corporate Insights teams to deliver actionable insights that drive business growth, operational excellence, customer acquisition, retention, and product performance.

The analyst serves as a key link between business stakeholders and data solutions, translating organizational goals into meaningful reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that support informed decision-making across the bank.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and scorecards that support Consumer Banking performance.
  • Utilize Cognos, Power BI, and other reporting platforms to create and distribute accurate and timely analytics.
  • Support routine and ad hoc reporting requests from business partners.
  • Monitor deposit rates, cost of funds, and interest expense trends, providing insights and recommendations to support balance sheet and pricing decisions.
  • Analyze branch performance data and provide insights into sales, growth, customer activity, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support branch leadership through reporting that assists with performance management and decision-making.
  • Support measurement and analysis of marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Evaluate customer growth, retention, cross-sell opportunities, and product performance metrics.
  • Develop and recommend deposit strategies to balance customer retention, deposit growth, funding needs, and overall profitability.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives by delivering consistent and trusted performance metrics.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or data management preferred.
  • Exposure to banking, financial services, retail operations, or customer analytics is beneficial.
  • Experience Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and reporting best practices.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts preferred.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.

(Base Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000/year)
