Job Description

Who is Quantium?

Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, Quantium is a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services to help businesses unlock value from data and analytics. Quantium partners with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.

Our Consumer team is at the forefront of reimagining retail through data, analytics, and AI. Following a long-standing partnership, Quantium became part of Woolworths Group, the largest retailer in Australia-New Zealand and a top 20 retailer globally, in 2021. Through this partnership, we're building retail analytics capabilities that are deployed across the Woolworths ecosystem and made available to retailers globally.

We're looking for a Consulting Manager to scope, validate and deliver supply chain solutions for retail and FMCG clients. You'll help clients use data, analytics, and AI to improve how product moves from supplier to shelf, from forecasting and replenishment through to availability and inventory. You'll also build and manage relationships with suppliers along the way.

How will you make an impact?

  • Scope and lead supply chain engagements: Take opportunities from our business development team, define the scope, and lead them through validation and delivery with retail and FMCG clients, working with Quantium, wiq, Woolworths Group, and trade partners to create value for everyone involved.
  • Manage supplier relationships: Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, keeping them engaged and aligned from scoping through to delivery, and ensuring solutions work for both sides of the supplier and retailer relationship.
  • Validate through proof-of-concept: Work with analytics, analytics transformation, and client partnership teams to co-design and deliver practical analytical solutions in areas such as demand forecasting, on-shelf availability, and inventory optimisation, testing whether they deliver the expected value.
  • Scale what works: Collaborate with Quantium and wiq product teams to turn successful proof-of-concepts into scalable offerings, in ANZ and globally.
  • Drive adoption: Define success metrics, measure results, capture learnings, and work with clients, suppliers and partners to embed solutions into the way they operate.
  • Work with senior stakeholders: Communicate and build relationships with senior leaders across Quantium, Woolworths Group, and client and supplier organisations.

The superpowers you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Management consulting experience: 7-9 years in management consulting or a similar strategy, transformation, or advisory environment, with a track record of scoping and leading engagements from problem definition through to delivery for retail, FMCG, or consumer clients.
  • Supply chain and retail knowledge: Experience in supply chain areas such as demand planning, replenishment, inventory, logistics, or network design, along with a solid understanding of retail operations, merchandising, or category management.
  • Analytics and AI experience: Experience delivering data and analytics transformation programmes, including running proof-of-concept trials that lead to measurable business outcomes.
  • Structured problem-solving: The ability to take your team from a defined opportunity to a clear scope, a tested solution, and a business case for scaling it.
  • Stakeholder and supplier management: Strong influencing and partnering skills, with experience managing supplier or vendor relationships and working across diverse senior stakeholder groups, while fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Remember – you might not tick all the boxes, but don’t let that from stopping you applying. We’re more interested in how you work, your ability to solve problems and think big.

What could your Quantium Experience look like?

Working at Quantium will allow you to challenge your imagination. You will get to solve complex problems using rigor, precision and by asking great questions – but it also means you can think big, outside the box and push your problem-solving skills to the max.

By joining the Quantium team, you’ll get to:

  • Make an impact: Leave your mark. Your contributions resonate, regardless of your role or rank.

But wait, there’s more!

We’ve got some pretty sweet perks:

  • Flexible work arrangements: Achieve work life balance at your own pace with hybrid and flexible work arrangements.
