Job Description

A leading healthcare provider in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is expanding its Pediatrics Department and is seeking a qualified Consultant / Specialist Pediatrician to join its multidisciplinary clinical team.

The position focuses on delivering high-quality pediatric medical care for infants, children, and adolescents within a modern hospital environment serving a diverse international patient population. The role offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive pediatric medicine supported by advanced diagnostics, specialist consultation services, and internationally recognised clinical protocols.

Role Overview

  • Position: Consultant / Specialist Pediatrician
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty hospital pediatric department
  • Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
  • Practice Model: Outpatient and inpatient pediatric care with access to neonatal and specialist support

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric medical care, focusing on child health, disease prevention, growth monitoring, and management of acute and chronic childhood illnesses.

Key Responsibilities – Pediatrics

  • Provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pediatric conditions
  • Conduct routine pediatric examinations, growth monitoring, and developmental assessments
  • Manage common pediatric illnesses, including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal conditions, allergies, and childhood infections
  • Deliver preventive healthcare services, including vaccination programs and health education for parents and caregivers
  • Diagnose and manage pediatric emergencies and acute illnesses requiring immediate medical attention
  • Monitor growth, nutritional status, and developmental milestones to ensure healthy child development
  • Provide guidance on child nutrition, behavioural health, and developmental concerns
  • Coordinate care with pediatric subspecialists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams when advanced care is required
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and pediatric health initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based pediatric care protocols and patient safety standards

Eligibility & Board Recognition

Applications are welcome from physicians holding recognised pediatric specialist qualifications such as:

  • American Board of Pediatrics
  • UK CCT / MRCPCH / FRCPCH
  • European Board Certification
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian Fellowship (FRACP – Pediatrics)
  • Arab Board of Pediatrics
  • FCPS (Pediatrics)
  • Or equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing. Licensing guidance and support will be provided where applicable.
