Job Description

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a Consultant / Specialist – Pathologist to join its laboratory medicine team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations, interpreting pathology findings, and supporting clinical teams in accurate disease diagnosis and patient management.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret histopathology, cytology, and laboratory findings to provide accurate diagnoses.
• Analyze tissue specimens, biopsies, and cytological samples.
• Provide diagnostic reports and clinical consultations to physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform or oversee specialized pathology investigations as required.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely reporting of laboratory results.
• Collaborate with clinicians, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MD / DNB / FCPS / FRCPath or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Pathology.
• Relevant clinical experience in Pathology.
• Strong knowledge of histopathology, cytopathology, and diagnostic laboratory practices.
• Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
