Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant / Specialist Medical Oncologist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in medical oncology and comprehensive cancer care, with experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of adult patients with a range of solid tumors and hematological malignancies.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical oncology consultations and cancer assessments.
- Diagnose, stage, and manage patients with a broad range of malignant diseases.
- Develop individualized cancer treatment plans based on diagnosis, staging, pathology, molecular findings, and patient factors.
- Provide systemic anti-cancer treatment within the physician's approved clinical scope.
- Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and other systemic cancer treatments as appropriate.
- Review and interpret pathology reports, molecular testing, laboratory results, CT, MRI, PET-CT, and other relevant investigations.
- Assess treatment response and modify management plans according to clinical progress.
- Manage treatment-related adverse effects and complications.
- Provide supportive and symptom-focused care throughout the cancer treatment journey.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board / oncology meetings and collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, palliative care teams, and other specialists.
- Provide appropriate cancer screening, prevention, and surveillance recommendations where applicable.
- Discuss diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, expected outcomes, and potential risks with patients and families in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Coordinate referrals for radiation therapy, surgical oncology, interventional procedures, palliative care, or other specialist services when required.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical records.
- Monitor patients during and after systemic cancer treatment and provide appropriate follow-up.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, research, teaching, and continuing professional development activities.
- Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policies.
Requirements
MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Medical Oncology / Oncology
Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
Strong experience in the diagnosis and management of adult cancer patients.
Good knowledge of modern systemic cancer treatment approaches.
Strong clinical judgment and treatment-planning skills.
Excellent communication and patient-management abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.
Commitment to evidence-based and ethical cancer care.
Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
