Responsibilities

- Carry out complex gastrointestinal surgeries, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety standards.
- Manage perioperative care from preoperative evaluation through postoperative recovery.
- Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and postoperative care.
- Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to foster medical advancements.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
- Completed residency in General Surgery and fellowship training specializing in Gastrointestinal Surgery.
- Valid medical licensure to practice as a surgeon in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years of specialized experience in gastrointestinal surgical practice.
- Proficiency in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in gastrointestinal surgery.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
