Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Cardiac Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients requiring cardiac surgical intervention.
• Perform and assist with cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgery, and other appropriate interventions.
• Evaluate pre-operative and post-operative patients and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Manage complex and high-risk cardiac surgical cases.
• Work closely with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide post-operative monitoring and manage surgical complications.
• Participate in emergency cardiac surgery and on-call services as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and training activities.

Requirements

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery / Cardiovascular Surgery / Cardiac Surgery.
• Relevant post-specialty experience in cardiac surgery.
• Strong experience in major cardiac surgical procedures.
• Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
• Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skills, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
• Candidates with UK CCT/UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
