Dynamics of the Role
We are seeking a consultant who will be a key contributor to shaping TransUnion’s perception in the marketplace as a trusted authority on lending and risk dynamics. The ideal consultant brings deep experience across a wide range of consumer and MSME lending practices, products, and functions, with a strong understanding of the entire customer lifecycle—from acquisition and underwriting to portfolio management and collections. This role drives thought leadership in two complementary ways.
First, the consultant will lead and contribute to advanced research initiatives focused on understanding consumer credit behavior, the external economic, regulatory, and market forces influencing that behavior, and the implications for lenders in managing associated risks and growth opportunities. These insights are expected to inform industry dialogue and support more effective decision making by financial institutions.
Second, the consultant will provide critical support to the Sales organization, helping to articulate advanced concepts and insights to customers. This includes exploring complex customer challenges across products, business units, and functional areas, while elevating the quality, relevance, and strategic depth of client discussions led by the Sales team.
In this role, the consultant serves as a consumer and MSME lending product, industry, and research expert for both the Sales force and TransUnion’s clients.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
