
Position: Consultant Radiologist (Sub-specialism in Interventional Radiology)
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on experience)

A fantastic opportunity for a Consultant Radiologist with a sub-specialism in Interventional Radiology to join a dynamic, multi-site NHS team. This role offers flexibility, remote working options, and a varied job plan across diagnostic and interventional imaging.
You’ll work within a forward-thinking department supported by a strong MDT structure, with scope to develop subspecialist interests, contribute to service development, and engage in teaching and research. Ideal for experienced consultants or those nearing CCT, looking for a collaborative and progressive environment.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Competitive salary – negotiable depending on experience
Relocation support – up to £20,000 (subject to eligibility)
Essential Requirements:
Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) or equivalent
Clinical training and experience in Interventional Radiology
High standard of diagnostic and interventional clinical skills
Strong MDT engagement and ability to manage acute/emergency cases
Effective communication and collaborative skills
Desirable Attributes:
Higher degree or fellowship training
Evidence of recent research or publications in radiology
Experience in audit management and teaching (UG/PG/foundation)
Supervisory experience for junior doctors or registrars
Familiarity with imaging governance and service development
Working Pattern & On-Call:
Dynamic rota system covering both acute hospital sites
On-call rota currently 1:15, with overnight remote outsourcing support
Flexibility for home reporting with Trust-approved remote access
6.5 Direct Clinical Care (including IR, CT, MRI, X-ray, MDTs)
1.5 SPA (supporting activities such as audit, governance, CPD)
2.0 On-call (Category A availability supplement)

Applications should clearly demonstrate consultant-level clinical experience in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
