Join a brand-new acute Mental Health service where you will play a central role in shaping care pathways and building the culture alongside the senior leadership team.
This role is ideal for a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in inpatient settings, including working with patients under the Mental Health Act, and with an interest in supporting trauma-affected patients.
Assume Responsible Clinician (RC) duties for Dunnock View, supported by non-consultant grade doctors and the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist
Ensure patients admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
Oversee medication management
Support clinical governance, including quality assurance, complaints management, and co-production
Deliver care in line with NICE guidance
Lead and manage CPA and ICR processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
Participate in the On Call Consultant rota
Medically qualified (MRC Psych or equivalent)
Innovative and able to initiate corporate decisions
Understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health
Knowledge of change management, legislation, contemporary mental health issues, and purchaser/provider contractual issues
Previous Consultant experience
