As a member of CIBC’s team, the Consultant, Process and Change Management is responsible for supporting the delivery of advanced consulting advice in process improvement, change management, and operational effectiveness. The role includes planning, scheduling, and facilitating training for transition and parallel processing phases, as well as creating job aids to support these activities. You will develop daily training plans, facilitate sessions with SME support, and provide ongoing support to the operations team. Post-implementation, you will offer support to teams after processes have been implemented and transition procedures to CIBC Knowledge Central standards. The role involves detailed procedure updates and the creation of job aids for critical processes, along with administrative tasks to track activities and address emerging issues. You will work autonomously on day-to-day responsibilities, researching industry best practices, tools, and systems for process improvement, and recommending enhancements to ensure standardized and efficient operations. Independent judgement is required to determine methods and approaches, and you will act as a resource integrator for your area. Please note this is a 18 month secondment opportunity.

How you'll succeed
Process Effectiveness - Identify and recommend changes that enhance operations, whether through technology or process improvements, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Strategic Thinking Approach - Drive, manage, and execute process and change management initiatives in alignment with CIBC Strategy while supporting business goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
Training & Transition Management - Plan, schedule, and facilitate training for transition and parallel processing phases. Develop daily training plans, facilitate sessions with SME support, and provide post-implementation support to teams.
Job Aid & Procedure Development - Create and update detailed procedures and job aids for critical processes to ensure operational readiness and knowledge transfer.
Relationship Management - Manage relationships between Process and Change Management and various partners throughout the bank, focusing on client experience and shared success.
Communication - Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions involving analysis, processes, and technology solutions to others with different disciplinary backgrounds.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience with. Process improvement, change management, and facilitating training sessions. Experience in creating job aids, updating procedures, and supporting operational teams during transitions is an asset.
You have a degree in a relevant field. (i.e. business, operations, management, engineering, or equivalent experience). Advanced degree is an asset.
You are a problem solver. You have exceptional critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze operational problems and recommend solutions.
You demonstrate knowledge in organizational procedures and standards, and understand the integration and interdependencies of various processes across a line of business.
You're driven to succeed. You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make an impact.
