Key Responsibilities of Oral Surgeons in Dubai Hospitals

• Diagnose and manage diseases, injuries, and defects of the oral cavity, jawbones, facial structures, and soft tissues.
• Perform complex surgical procedures including wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, and dentoalveolar surgeries.
• Conduct corrective jaw surgeries (orthognathic surgery) and manage facial trauma cases (fractures of jaw, cheekbones, orbital bones).
• Provide reconstructive surgery for congenital deformities such as cleft lip and palate.
• Diagnose and surgically treat oral pathology including cysts, tumors, infections, and salivary gland diseases.
• Manage oral cancer cases in collaboration with oncology teams.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (dentistry, ENT, oncology, plastic surgery, trauma care).
• Ensure compliance with DHA/DOH/MOH licensing standards and JCI‑accredited hospital protocols.
