Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Ophthalmologist – Oculoplasty to join our medical team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing ophthalmic and oculoplastic conditions, performing specialized procedures, and providing comprehensive patient care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of oculoplastic, orbital, eyelid, and lacrimal conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic and oculoplastic consultations and examinations.
• Perform appropriate oculoplastic and reconstructive surgical procedures within approved clinical privileges.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Evaluate and manage eyelid malpositions, orbital disorders, lacrimal system disorders, and related conditions.
• Provide appropriate medical and surgical management based on current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain professional development and stay updated on advances in oculoplastic surgery and ophthalmology.
• Comply with hospital policies, Saudi healthcare regulations, and applicable professional standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency/Board training.
• Fellowship or equivalent specialized training in Oculoplasty/Oculoplastic Surgery.
• Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and managing oculoplastic and ophthalmic conditions.
• Demonstrated competence in relevant oculoplastic surgical procedures.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, where required.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety and evidence-based medicine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a hospital, eye center, or tertiary-care ophthalmology setting.
• Experience in eyelid, orbital, lacrimal, and reconstructive procedures.
• Experience managing both functional and reconstructive oculoplastic cases.
• Previous clinical experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is an advantage.
