Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our expert medical team. The successful candidate will provide specialized eye care, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of ocular diseases. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and diagnose a wide range of eye conditions.
- Formulate and implement medical and surgical treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract extraction, glaucoma procedures, retinal surgeries, and laser treatments.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and counseling.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient management.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and comply with clinical governance standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with latest clinical practices.
Requirements
- Medical degree with recognized specialization in Ophthalmology.
- Valid, active medical license to practice as a Consultant Ophthalmologist.
- Minimum 5 years of consultant-level experience in ophthalmology.
- Expertise in performing a variety of complex ophthalmic surgical procedures.
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Fluent English proficiency; additional languages are beneficial.
