We're Hiring | Consultant Neurology

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Neurologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with neurological disorders while delivering the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate must hold a valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a Consultant Neurologist and possess extensive clinical expertise in managing both acute and chronic neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage a wide range of neurological disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles.
• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including detailed history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic investigations.
• Diagnose and treat conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, headache disorders, neuropathies, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, and other neurological diseases.
• Interpret and correlate diagnostic studies including MRI, CT scans, EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, lumbar puncture results, and laboratory investigations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Provide emergency neurological consultation for acute stroke, seizures, altered mental status, and other neurological emergencies.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, psychiatrists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Provide outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the hospital's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, multidisciplinary meetings, research activities, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals where applicable.

Requirements

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DHA.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD), DM, CCT, American Board Certification, Arab Board, FRCP, or equivalent recognized qualification in Neurology.
• Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a Consultant Neurologist.
• Fellowship training in Stroke, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neurophysiology, Multiple Sclerosis, or Neuromuscular Disorders is an added advantage.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
