Requirements

What You’ll Do:

• We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with strong experience in Python and FastAPI to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, strong database knowledge, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with modern cloud-native architecture, managed Azure services, and data engineering tools will be highly valued. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.

• Build secure, high-performance, and reusable backend services. • Work with Azure cloud services and managed infrastructure components.

• Integrate backend services with databases, external APIs, and cloud platforms. • Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and data engineering teams.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. • Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI.

• Good understanding of REST API development and microservices architecture

• Experience with Azure cloud technologies and managed services such as:

• Azure App Service • Azure Key Vault

• Other Azure managed services • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.

Experience with NoSQL databases is an added advantage.

• Good understanding of database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Databricks.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Docker, or containerized deployments.

• Exposure to cloud-native application development.
