Job Description

The role is responsible for implementing the Clinisys Software and associated applications into laboratories and other client environments as directed by the Project Manager, ensuring all customer and business requirements are met. The position also acts in a consultative capacity with customers to configure Clinisys Software in ways that enhance laboratory workflow.

The role contributes to the functional development of Clinisys products and requires staying up to date with current and future laboratory regulations, working practices, technologies, and industry developments. It includes advocating, initiating, and implementing quality improvement measures in collaboration with Delivery leadership. Where applicable, the role supports project-based activities to meet customer and business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Clinisys codes of conduct and guidelines.

  • Understand, comply with, and contribute to customer and Clinisys procedures, working practices, and directives in a timely manner.

  • Understand customer workflows to advise and assist with Clinisys products and configuration to support their operational needs.

  • Maintain full knowledge of the product functionality within your discipline.

  • Maintain working knowledge of the core functionality of all Clinisys products.

  • Assist the Project Manager with implementation activities, including time management, resource planning, and collaboration with customer representatives.

  • Consistently meet and sustain performance against established utilisation targets, ensuring optimal allocation of project time and minimising non-productive periods.

  • Understand customer requirements as defined in the Project Initiation Document (PID).

  • Contribute to the development of the software product.

  • Make recommendations for software changes and enhancements based on customer feedback.

  • Deliver training courses for key users as required.

  • Attend team meetings and agreed training courses.

  • Respond to reasonable requests from line managers or project managers.

  • Support and collaborate with team members and contribute to building a shared knowledge base.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Laboratory experience in scientific sectors such as life sciences, public health, genomics, toxicology, water quality, food and beverage, or environmental fields.

  • Ability to travel throughout the UKI and EU, and abroad where appropriate.

  • Full driving licence.

  • Strong motivational skills, including the ability to deliver tasks in challenging circumstances.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organisational levels.

  • High levels of commitment and the ability to take action when needed.

  • Ability and willingness to work independently.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to create and deliver executive-level summary reports and presentations.

  • IT training and experience in PL/SQL, HL7, and integration products (e.g., Rhapsody), or experience with XML and Java scripting.

  • Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, with the ability to leverage AI to improve processes and outcomes.

  • Understanding of core AI concepts and demonstrable ability to use AI tools to support day‑to‑day tasks.

Required Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience within an IT or software provider organisation or in software implementation.

  • Moderate experience in a project management environment is desirable.

  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.

Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
