Job Description

What you'll do:

• To deliver industrial consultancy services and technology implementation for traditional, emerging and future industries related to access and implement Industry 4.0+ (i4.0+) and Smartification technologies, design and build new Smart Production Line with adoption of the latest digital and smart technologies.
• To prepare the technical solution and consultancy proposal for New Industrialsation Funding Scheme (NIFS), New Industrialisation Accelerate Scheme (NIAS) and other manufacturing related training, assessment or R&D services for companies.
• To conduct feasibility study for emerging and future industries, provide professional advice and propose innovation solution to upgrade companies and trends, support “Go Global” initiatives.
• Occasional travel to the mainland and outside Hong Kong such ASEAN 10 in a regular basis for project implementation is needed.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree from engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial/System Engineering, Engineering, Data/Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3 years or above experience in related areas.
• Familiar with manufacturing operations, candidates have proven work experience at manufacturing based or production technology solution companies.
• Solid experience in manufacturing technologies such as Industrial IoTs, sensor data acquisition, intelligent manufacturing, data analytics application scenarios, automation and robotics, Edge computing applications, AI technologies 2-3 technical competence are definitely advantage.
• Hands on technical capability from “Design to Delivery” for NIFS/NIAS projects.
• Strong commitment to KPIs, result oriented, self-initiated and able to work under pressure.
• Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred.

2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal.

The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
