Job Title: Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Brecon, Brecknockshire
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry to join our client in Brecon, Brecknockshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychiatric care for individuals with learning disabilities across inpatient and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) settings
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
• Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff
• Ensure full compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and other relevant legislation

Qualifications & Experience

• Full GMC registration
• Section 12 approval
• Extensive experience in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry, particularly in inpatient and community settings
• Proven experience in a Consultant-level role
