Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Working Hours: 20 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work part-time for our NHS client based in Leicester, Leicestershire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

What will your responsibilities be?

This role is based within a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), focusing on general adult psychiatry. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality psychiatric care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and formulating individualised treatment plans. The successful candidate must hold Section 12 approval. You will be expected to participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Full GMC registration (essential)
• Section 12 approval
• Experience in general adult psychiatry, particularly within intensive care settings
• Strong clinical and communication skills
