• 
  Provide
  consultant-level critical care management
  for adult and/or pediatric patients in ICU

• 
  Perform comprehensive
  assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and ongoing management
  of critically ill patients

• 
  Lead
  multidisciplinary ICU teams
  , including registrars, residents, nursing staff, and allied health professionals

• 
  Perform and supervise
  advanced life-support procedures
  , invasive monitoring, and ventilatory management

• 
  Collaborate closely with
  Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Surgery, Pediatrics, and subspecialty teams

• 
  Ensure compliance with
  hospital policies, DOH regulations, and international critical care standards

• 
  Maintain accurate and timely
  clinical documentation and reporting

• 
  Participate in
  clinical governance, audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives

• 
  Support
  teaching, mentoring, and training
  of junior medical staff

• 
  Provide on-call consultant cover as per hospital rota

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements (DOH PQR – Tier 1)

• 
  Medical Degree
  from a recognised institution

• 
  Tier 1 Specialist / Consultant qualification
  , such as:

  • 
    CCT / CCST (UK)

  • 
    American Board Certification

  • 
    Canadian Board Certification

  • 
    Australian / New Zealand Fellowship

  • 
    Irish Board Certification

• 
  Specialty training in Intensive Care Medicine / Critical Care
  , including:

  • 
    Adult ICU
    and/or

  • 
    Pediatric ICU (PICU)

• 
  Eligible for
  DOH Consultant license
  in Intensive Care Medicine (Adult or Pediatric)

• 
  Minimum
  3–5 years’ post-specialist / post-board experience
  at Consultant level

• 
  Excellent clinical judgement and leadership skills

• 
  Fluent in
  English
  (Arabic is an advantage)

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Dual training or experience in
  Adult & Pediatric ICU

• 
  Fellowship training in
  Critical Care / Pediatric Critical Care

• 
  Experience in
  tertiary or teaching hospitals

• 
  Prior experience in GCC or internationally accredited hospitals
