Role Summary

The role is primarily focused on managing intake requests, reviewing IAM requirements, coordinating changes, maintaining documentation, and guiding application teams through established authentication and authorization patterns. The consultant will work closely with Lines of Business, IAM Engineering, Operations, Information Security, Design and Change Management teams to ensure onboarding and migration activities are completed successfully and meet enterprise security, control and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the WIAM intake queue for application onboarding, migration and change requests.
• Review and triage incoming requests based on established authentication and authorization (AuthN/AuthZ) patterns.
• Work with application and LOB teams to understand and refine IAM requirements.
• Support migration of applications to strategic enterprise authentication platforms.
• Coordinate change documentation, scheduling and implementation activities with relevant teams.
• Guide application teams through IAM onboarding and integration processes.
• Provide technical consultation on:
• SAML
• OAuth 2.0
• OIDC
• SSO
• MFA
• Identity Federation
• Authentication and Authorization
• Support implementation and enforcement of enterprise AuthN/AuthZ security controls.
• Troubleshoot intake and onboarding issues that cannot be resolved by Tier 1/Tier 2 support.
• Coordinate with IAM Engineering, Operations, Information Security, project teams and Change Management to ensure successful implementation.
• Create and maintain process documentation, runbooks, configuration guidance and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles and technologies.
• Experience with enterprise IAM products and/or cloud identity platforms.
• Good working knowledge of:
• SAML 2.0
• OpenID Connect (OIDC)
• OAuth 2.0
• LDAP
• Kerberos
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA and risk-based authentication.
• Understanding of Identity Federation concepts and common enterprise federation patterns.
• Authentication and authorization for REST APIs, microservices and SOAP services.
• IAM integration with Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud.
• Enterprise directory and virtual directory technologies.
• Integration of IAM with identity provisioning and access attestation systems.
