We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Fetal Medicine to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra Region. The successful candidate will provide specialized care for high-risk pregnancies, fetal diagnosis, prenatal screening, and management of fetal abnormalities while working within a multidisciplinary maternal-fetal medicine team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive fetal medicine services, including prenatal screening, diagnosis, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, fetal anomaly scans, fetal echocardiography (where qualified), Doppler studies, and first-trimester screening.
• Diagnose and manage fetal congenital anomalies, genetic disorders, multiple pregnancies, fetal growth restriction, and other complex fetal conditions.
• Perform invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS), where credentialed.
• Develop individualized management plans for mothers and fetuses in collaboration with obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, geneticists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide prenatal counseling to expectant parents regarding fetal conditions, prognosis, and available treatment options.
• Participate in multidisciplinary fetal medicine meetings and case discussions.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and international clinical guidelines.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, teaching, and continuing medical education activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Fetal Medicine or Maternal-Fetal Medicine from a recognized institution.
• Board Certification or equivalent recognized qualification in Fetal Medicine/Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• DOH License/Eligibility is preferred.
• Internationally trained candidates meeting DOH licensing requirements are encouraged to apply.
