What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology Enterprise Solutions, Risk Management & Treasury Trading team, you’ll lead and support a team of Business Systems Analysts as they deliver business analysis services across complex, enterprise-scale initiatives. As a Consultant, Business Systems Analysis you'll support the day-to-day operations of the business analysis function. You’ll work closely with partners across technology and the business to ensure requirements are clearly defined, understood, and executed effectively. In this role, you’ll help drive high-quality outcomes by strengthening collaboration, enabling delivery excellence, and supporting continuous improvement across projects and processes.

How You’ll Succeed

• Understanding requirements – Conduct analysis of processes and functional or reporting requirements to document, communicate and negotiate also propose the best practices to stakeholders. Knowledge of and ability to utilize use case analysis, define and document business & solution requirements. Provide SME advice and direction to internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the requirements work packages are appropriately defined.
• Work with internal partners - Determine, negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards. Monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Relationship management – Work with technical design and development team across multiple line of business for requirement socialization and supporting development and build. Coordinate and lead cross-functional tasks or work packages to identify and document functional or non-functional requirements, workflow, information sources and system specifications. Partner with project manager, technical manager, vendors, business, and all other stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of project(s).

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 1- 3 years experience with You bring experience within a capital markets financial institution, with a strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and data analysis. You also have experience with business process modeling and information technology project delivery. You understand the delivery lifecycle. You have experience supporting work prioritization, stakeholder management, the System Development Life Cycle, application delivery, and implementation. You’re also comfortable using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps. You bring valuable industry knowledge. It’s an asset if you have experience in the regulatory space, including regulatory compliance, and exposure to launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams. Experience with Agile delivery, prototyping, and iterative development is also considered an an asset.
• You have a degree/ diploma in Business, Technology and/or related field. It’s an asset if: You have CFA or FRM certification.
• You understand technology delivery. You have experience with the System Development Life Cycle, application delivery, and implementation.
• You’re comfortable working in ambiguity. You can navigate evolving priorities, ask thoughtful questions, and help bring structure and clarity to complex initiatives.
• You’re detail-oriented. You bring a high level of accuracy to documentation, analysis, and requirement definition, helping reduce risk and support quality delivery.
