What you'll be doing
The Enterprise Solution Design team is at the heart of CIBC's technology strategy, partnering across the organization to deliver innovative, scalable infrastructure solutions. As a Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you'll collaborate closely with Solution Directors, Solution Owners and Designers, Application Developers, Flow Managers, external vendors, Intake Managers, Project Managers, and Application Development partners to gather business and technical requirements and support solution delivery. You'll design and document comprehensive infrastructure solutions, prepare accurate costing estimates, and manage solution development through agile sprints. You'll also play a key role in driving intake refinement through to approval, ensuring requirements, documentation, and solutioning remain aligned with agile practices. In this role, you'll support reporting, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and cloud-related solutioning to help deliver strong business outcomes.

How you'll succeed
Requirements Gathering and Solutioning - Collaborate with Solution Directors, Solution Owners and Designers, Application Developers, and Application Development partners to gather business and technical requirements and document comprehensive infrastructure and cloud solutions aligned to business needs.
Agile Delivery - Manage solution development through individual sprints, ensuring requirements, documentation, and solutioning are aligned with agile practices, delivery timelines, and business priorities. Support agile ceremonies and contribute to effective flow management across initiatives.
Intake and Workflow Management - Track and manage intake refinement through to approval using ServiceNow Demand Management tools, Jira, Confluence, and Virtual Task Boards, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and stakeholder alignment at every stage.
Costing and Reporting - Apply a strong understanding of costing methodologies to develop cost calculators and prepare accurate project budget estimates for solution packages. Create and maintain reporting and dashboards using Power BI and Tableau to support decision-making and communicate progress.
Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting - Design and execute test cases to validate solution quality, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to relevant stakeholders.
Vendor and Cross-Functional Collaboration - Build strong relationships with external vendors and work effectively with Flow Managers, Intake Managers, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to support project delivery, remove blockers, and drive successful outcomes.
Cloud and Process Innovation - Contribute to solutioning with knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Use AI tools to enhance process efficiency, improve team productivity, and support continuous improvement.
Who you are
You have strong relevant experience You hold a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, and bring at least five years of experience in business systems analysis, including leading projects and supporting solution design in complex environments.
You're experienced with core tools and platforms You have at least five years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence, and you're confident using these tools to support intake management, documentation, workflow tracking, and delivery coordination.
You're an agile practitioner You bring at least five years of experience working in agile environments, including Agile Flow Management, Agile Project Management, and sprint-based delivery. Agile certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), are considered assets.
You understand reporting and analysis You have experience creating meaningful reports and dashboards using Power BI and Tableau, and you're comfortable turning data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
You're technically versatile You have knowledge of cloud infrastructure and familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with experience in troubleshooting and supporting solution quality through testing and issue resolution.
You're a collaborator You have proven experience working across cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships to support shared goals, strong execution, and successful delivery.
You're curious about innovation You have familiarity using AI tools to improve efficiency, strengthen team productivity, and support better ways of working.
