
Consultant - Business Consulting – Transformation Architecture – Healthcare Operations (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1716153), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Los Angeles, CA.
Provide business consulting services to help clients in the healthcare industry improve payer (Health Plan) and/or provider (Health System) operations. Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by health care executives, functional leaders, healthcare providers, other clinicians, and staff. Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action. Work collaboratively with health care executives, functional leaders, healthcare providers, other clinicians, and staff to assess, design, and implement Business Performance Management, Analytics Enablement, Process Improvement, Cost reduction, Technology Implementation, and/or Enterprise Transformation that help clients in the healthcare industry define and plan effective execution of their strategic direction and vision. Collaborate with healthcare teams and work with a broad spectrum of not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare clients, including health systems, HMOs and health insurance companies. Assist in generating margin within existing healthcare clients and in developing new prospects at the “C” and executive level of large healthcare companies. Advise clients on maintaining or updating business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, business processes or methods that enable sustainable and measurable improvements. Develop process flows depicting pain points in the business process, conduct detailed analyses to draw conclusions, and develop recommendations for improvement. Assist clients with planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance measuring, and reporting services. Advise clients on resource utilization, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Medical Informatics, Nursing or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Medical Informatics, Nursing or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.
Must have 4 years of one or a combination of the following:
- healthcare industry experience
- experience providing advisory services to clients in the healthcare industry
- experience providing consulting services to clients in the healthcare industry.
Must have 2 years of experience with ALL the following:
- healthcare operations organization strategy, operating model design and deployment
- healthcare operations transformation strategy and design
- healthcare operations business case development
- transformation strategy and design.
Must have 2 years of experience managing client relationships within the healthcare industry.
Must have 2 years of experience in ALL the following:
- Healthcare operations engagement planning, budgeting, and work plan development;
- Mobilizing and managing healthcare engagement teams;
- Defining healthcare operations deliverable structures and content;
- Facilitating buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client;
- Managing the quality delivery of healthcare operations work products;
- Managing engagement economics and engagement risk;
- MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio; and
- Project Management, including experience with MS Project.
Must have 3 years of experience writing and delivering healthcare operations strategy impact presentations for clients, executives and senior managers in Power Point.
Must have 2 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing data driven solutions for the healthcare industry, including in one or a combination of any of the following: computerized healthcare provider systems, managed care payer systems, and/or health information management systems.
Must have 2 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: managing teams of industry and/or consulting professionals providing services to clients in the healthcare industry.
Requires domestic travel up to 80% to serve client needs.
