At Copenhagen Optimization, we help some of the world’s busiest airports work smarter. Combining deep aviation expertise, data and our proprietary software platform, Better Airport®, we help airports make better decisions, optimize their operations and improve the passenger journey.
Our teams in Copenhagen and Cambridge, Massachusetts work closely together to support a rapidly growing network of airport clients across North America.
As a Consultant, you’ll be part of a small, collaborative team with real responsibility from the start. You’ll help implement Better Airport® from discovery and data analysis through configuration, deployment, training and post-go-live support—working directly with airport stakeholders and alongside our consultancy, product and technical teams and technology partners.
But software is only part of what we do. Our clients rely on us as trusted partners and advisors. We get to know their operations, ask the right questions, challenge established ways of working when there’s a better approach, and help turn complex data into practical decisions and lasting improvements.
Copenhagen Optimization is a Danish company with a distinctly Scandinavian approach to work, built around trust, autonomy, collaboration and personal responsibility.
You’ll be given meaningful responsibility early and trusted to organize your work, ask questions and find a way forward—while being part of a team that succeeds by working together. The problems we solve can be highly specialized, so we don’t expect you to know everything. We do expect you to be curious, humble and eager to learn from colleagues across consultancy, product, development and aviation.
We also believe great work should be sustainable. Travel, deadlines and demanding projects are part of what we do, but long hours are not a measure of commitment. What matters is the quality of your work, the relationships you build and the impact you create—taking ownership of your responsibilities while respecting your own time and that of your colleagues.
Self-reliant and accountable – You take responsibility for your work, seek out what you need and keep things moving without constant direction.
Curious – You ask questions, seek expertise and are comfortable learning from colleagues and clients.
Relationship-focused – You build trusted relationships with clients, partners and colleagues through reliability, openness and respect.
Structured and analytical – You make sense of complex information, identify what matters and turn it into clear actions.
Curious about aviation and technology – You want to understand how airports work and how data and technology can improve them.
Proactive and hands-on – You take initiative and are willing to get into the details to solve problems and deliver results.
A developing trusted advisor – You want to build expertise, simplify complexity and help clients find better ways of working.
A strong communicator – You communicate clearly and confidently across teams, cultures and organizations.
Quality-driven – You care about the quality of your work, your relationships and the impact you create.
As a Consultant, you will progressively take ownership of client-facing implementation and consultancy activities, including:
Your responsibilities will grow with your experience. We don't expect you to know everything on day one, but we do expect you to increasingly take ownership of your work and become someone that colleagues and clients can rely on.
We expect a lot from you—and you can expect a lot from us.
From day one, we invest heavily in helping you understand our company, our clients and our technology. Your onboarding will include time with our teams in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Copenhagen, Denmark, alongside extensive training in Better Airport®, airport operations, our client base and our analytical tools and methodologies.
You'll be given real responsibility early, but you won't be expected to figure everything out alone. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues who will teach you, challenge you and expect you to do the same for others as your experience grows.
As our North American operation continues to grow, you'll also have an opportunity to shape both your role and the way our team works.
Our Cambridge office is focused on the Americas, which means frequent opportunities to work onsite with airport clients throughout the region as well as travel to our headquarters in Copenhagen. Frequent travel is an expected and important part of this role.
As part of our North American team, you will receive:
We are a growing international company, and that means our environment can move quickly. Client priorities change, new opportunities emerge and occasionally we need to respond to demanding deadlines.
At the same time, we believe strongly in planning, trust and work-life balance. We don't believe being busy is the same as being effective, and we don't measure commitment by how many hours someone spends at their desk. We expect you to take responsibility for your commitments, communicate openly and deliver high-quality work—and we trust you to manage your time responsibly in return.
You'll work in an environment where people are expected to challenge each other respectfully; to ask for help when they need it; and to share what they know.
If you enjoy figuring things out, learning quickly, building strong relationships and gradually becoming someone that clients and colleagues trust with difficult problems, we'd like to hear from you.
Interviews are held in the period September 28th to October 9th. Tell us who you are, what you're curious about and why Copenhagen Optimization sounds like a place where you could make an impact.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation.
Currently, Copenhagen Optimization is not able to provide visas or work permits. You must have the ability to work in the United States.

Operating an airport is complex. We use data to turn that complexity into something you can understand, plan for, and act on with confidence.
We help airports reimagine what is possible by connecting operations across the airport and using data to drive smarter planning and execution.
Our solutions cover every key area of airport operations. This includes our Airport RMS, capacity optimization, flow forecasting, and airport staffing. We also offer airport consultancy for airports that want insights based on real operational experience. Each solution is designed to help airports plan better, use resources more efficiently, and make more confident decisions.
We are airport people. Our team comes from real airport operation, which makes this work personal for us. We understand what it feels like to handle constant changes, peak hours, and decisions that influence the journey of thousands of passengers. That is why our goal is to make airports run the best they can.
Better Airport is built for airport operators by airport operators. It is our cloud-based modular SaaS platform that gives airports of all sizes a simpler, easier, and more efficient way to run core operations, including check in, baggage, security, stand and gate, and immigration.
If you want to explore what Copenhagen Optimization can do for your airport, we are always ready for a conversation.
