Pulse Doctors is proud to support hospitals across Australia and New Zealand, connecting UK and Irish-trained specialists with outstanding permanent opportunities. We are currently working with NT Health on a permanent Consultant Anaesthetist vacancy at in Darwin, the Northern Territory’s major tertiary referral hospital. You’ll provide high-quality anaesthetic and peri-operative care to a diverse community across a broad range of surgical and acute services, while supervising and teaching registrars, trainees and junior doctors.
Join a supportive team delivering exceptional anaesthetic care while enjoying a relaxed tropical lifestyle.
UK and Irish-trained anaesthetists: if you hold a UK CCT with FRCA, or an Irish CSCST with FCAI, you may be eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway. This means specialist registration with AHPRA without going through the standard college assessment process, so you can move from application to practising as a specialist far more quickly.
What’s on Offer for You?
The role is based at Royal Darwin Hospital in Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory and the gateway to Australia’s Top End. Darwin offers a tropical lifestyle with warm weather year-round, a relaxed outdoor culture, a rich multicultural community and a lively food and market scene. National parks such as Kakadu and Litchfield are within reach, fishing is world-class, and the city’s closeness to Asia makes it a great base for travel.
Pulse Healthcare Doctors is a leading medical recruitment partner, supporting public & private healthcare organisations across Australia & New Zealand. Moving to Australia or New Zealand is a big decision, and we’re here to support you well beyond the job offer.
