Position Highlights
The Access Consultant works directly with students to understand disability-related barriers they may experience or anticipate on campus and respond to requests for reasonable accommodation. Each Access Consultant works closely with academic colleges/program and/or student service areas to build relationships which includes understanding program culture and requirements.
Access Consultants play a critical role in facilitating the University’s commitment to inclusion, specifically compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Informed by universal design, Access Consultants prioritize the most seamless and equitable ways to ensure access.
Access Consultants communicate and consult with a range of constituents, including students, faculty, parents and other staff. In their outreach, Access Consultants have the opportunity to educate around how we can move beyond compliance to achieve meaningful inclusion on campus.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site work at the Tucson campus with remote work flexibility.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
