The position requires in-depth knowledge of financial markets and various financial instruments like Equities, Fixed Income securities, Funds, CFDs, P-Notes etc. The role requires working in a team that has high complexity and criticality. Includes supporting and working closely with the Team Leaders and Section Managers for the implementation of business plans.
The Pricing Consultant is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and guideline‑compliant pricing of securities held by clients. The role provides functional expertise, risk oversight, and consultancy support to BAU pricing teams, while partnering closely with Team Leaders and Managers to deliver business plans, platform initiatives, and control enhancements.
Knowledge/Skills
Desired knowledge of NT Pricing Systems, Enterprise & Fund Master. AIP and IMS knowledge supplementary.
Good working knowledge of Industrial vendors and vendor applications such as ICE, Reuters & Bloomberg.
Proficient in Client Servicing.
Firm understanding of pricing risk, audit requirements, and governance frameworks. Policy analysis, quality control
MIS Reporting
Experience in handling critical queries and managing internal partner area expectations.
Industry Knowledge - Knowledge of various financial instruments & reference data.
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Major Duties
Ability to Handle, Escalate and resolve Critical Client Pricing queries in a timely manner by providing subject‑matter expertise on complex pricing scenarios
Take active part in testing & implementation , lead and support platform initiatives and migrations (e.g., POP pricing system changes, vendor transitions etc).
Deliver high quality service to clients by accurate, timely completion of all assigned tasks and requests for information.
Participate in client‑specific pricing solutions, non‑standard requests, and service model enhancements.
MIS & Reporting: Generating and maintaining MIS reports pertaining to process delinquency/ recoveries/variances/corrective actions and presenting the same to the management for facilitating decision making.
Review and maintain pricing controls, checklists, and DPAD/SD attestations to ensure audit and regulatory compliance.
Continuous review of new and established processes to ascertain Risk areas within the same and introduce necessary checks & controls to mitigate any kinds of risk and also ensure compliance of procedures and policies of the Process / Organization.
Assist with the provision of data for the internal and external audit process. Conduct MOC audit, participate in Internal Audit/External audit to ensure the process adheres to the audit standards and requirements.
To highlight the operational gaps, updated control and escalate the necessary issues to the Management.
Ability to set priorities and manage multiple deadlines, projects independently.
Deliver training /coaching effectively.
Respond flexibly to the needs of the current situation, amend own work program to deliver desired outputs
Manage any potentially difficult situations which may impact on the clients by developing a close working relationship with client services.
Develop early warning techniques for process failures.
To ensure full and proper reporting to the manager of any operational issues
Where delays are expected to flag any service delivery issues as early as possible and ability to work on ad-hoc activities.
Experience
Graduation Degree in B.Com/BBM/MBA etc.
6-7 years of work experience in a Financial Institution with a minimum of 2 years in Securities pricing or related activities with evidence of strong technical and procedural expertise is preferred.
Knowledge of Financial Instruments and Corporate Action events, familiarity with financial market Vendors is strongly preferred.
