Consultants are involved in the management and execution of a variety of projects, including market access, pricing, strategy, and commercial assignments for Pharma, Diagnostics, MedTech, and Digital Health Solutions (DHS) clients.

Consultants fully own assigned analyses and streams of work, develop and deliver components of the client engagement, and contribute to the success of each project. Specifically, they lead secondary and primary research activities, can sharply synthetize and organize information gathered, they lead advanced quantitative analyses and modelling activities, and they contribute to the elaboration of final recommendations.

Within a project team, Consultants work closely and under the supervision of the Engagement Manager and/or Principal but are directly responsible for their assigned streams of work and manage 2-3 Associate Consultants and/or Analysts.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Execution (85%)

  • Manage entire project streams (or simple projects), from planning to execution and delivery, with limited guidance from senior roles

  • Manages the execution of a project stream (or a simple project), develops a plan to approach client’s needs, and leverages business experience and acumen in identifying strategies and project approach to client questions with limited guidance from senior roles

  • Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client deliverables

  • Understands and anticipates potential issues and/or challenges deriving from the initial ‘problem’ and able to communicate this effectively to the project team​ and senior roles

  • Coordinates the creation of sections and/or entire reports, presentations, workshops and other client deliverables

  • Ensures the high quality and accuracy of deliverables

  • Presents assigned sections of the deliverables with limited support from senior consultants

  • Develops an in-depth understanding of the healthcare industry and a broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies through the delivery of consulting engagement and participation in formal and informal training programs

Business Development & Corporate Initiatives (15%)

  • Support the Business Development process from lead discovery to proposal defense as part of the execution team

  • Participate in corporate development by contributing to internal strategic projects, recruiting, knowledge management, technology systems, and related functions

  • Manage and coordinate Associates and/or Analysts and act as their point of reference for daily activities and training among others

DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate degree with an excellent track record in either Life Sciences related, Business, Economics, or Engineering programs. PhD or MBA are considered a plus

  • 3+ year of professional experience in management consulting, private equity, health technology assessment (HTA) agencies, or pharmaceutical industry

  • Demonstrated experience in managing small teams of 2-3 people

TECHNICAL COMPETENCES & SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to problem-solve unstructured or ambiguous challenges

  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques

  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and high level of attention to detail

  • Excellent business English, both written and verbal. Additional language is considered a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time management and organization skills. Strong capability in evaluating priorities to meet deadlines while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, good project management skills and agility

  • Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge

  • Ability to work with teams based in different countries
