BACKGROUND
Since 2022, the EMPOWER Project has been implemented to strengthen sustainable cocoa farming communities through an integrated approach that combines economic empowerment, child protection, women's leadership, financial inclusion, youth engagement, and multi stakeholder collaboration. Throughout four years of implementation, the project has generated numerous stories of change across communities, local governments, private sector partners, and civil society organizations. Beyond delivering project outputs and outcomes, EMPOWER has contributed to strengthening community resilience and creating lasting systems that continue beyond the project period. As the project approaches completion in August 2026, Save the Children Indonesia intends to produce a EMPOWER Journey Book documenting the journey, lessons, achievements, and human stories behind the EMPOWER Project. Unlike conventional donor reports, this publication will present the project's journey through compelling storytelling, high-quality photography, visual narratives, and evidence-based reflections, making it accessible to diverse audiences including government, development partners, private sector, academia, and the wider public. To support this process, Save the Children Indonesia seeks a qualified consultant to lead the development of this publication.

Save the Children
Save the Children is the world's leading independent organisation for children. We work in around 120 countries. Our vision is to live in a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
Last year Save the Children's programmes and campaigns reached more than 55 million children directly around the world, through our and our partners' work.
We work to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. Across all of our work, we pursue several core values: accountability, ambition, collaboration, creativity and integrity.
