Wind Turbine Installation - Construction workers

We are seeking Construction workers with Wind Turbine experience to join our team on a casual basis for work on our projects near Wellington in Central West, NSW.

Positions can be local or fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) or drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) position to provide flexibility and coverage for the varied work locations.

Roles will be available starting from January and placing through to May.

The role of the Wind Technician encompasses the installation, mechanical and electrical completions, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines at a wind farm construction site. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The Wind Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functionality of wind turbines and compliance with industry standards throughout their lifecycle.

What you'll be doing:

• Working within the teams to install wind turbines across the range of installation teams including offloading equipment and pad preparation, preinstallation of equipment and installation of the turbines

• Operate relevant equipment safely and efficiently.

• Following the instructions of the leading hand and supervisors to meet the delivery of the construction program.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician, preferably in a FIFO/DIDO role

• Strong understanding of the wind turbine installation process

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work safely at heights and in remote locations

• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules to meet the needs of the business

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current GWO
  • ART trained - Highly desirable.
  • GE experience not essential but highly desirable.
  • Heavy Vehicle License (HC/MC) – desirable
  • Advanced or Intermediate Rigging tickets (RA,RI)
  • Dogman Ticket (DG)
  • EWP (WP)
