Job Description

The Construction Technology Platform Manager - Procore is accountable for maximizing the business value, operational consistency, and long-term strategic impact of Modern Niagara's Procore platform. This role owns the enterprise roadmap, governance model, prioritization framework, product backlog, and value realization strategy for Procore as a core construction execution platform.

Why This Role Matters to Modern Niagara

As our critical construction operations platform, Procore must operate as an enterprise business platform, not simply as software that is maintained. This role provides clear ownership for platform direction, ensures priorities align with construction operations, execution and data strategy, and helps Modern Niagara improve project visibility, process consistency, data integrity, reporting reliability, and continuous improvement.

Key Impact / Purpose

  • Set and maintain the enterprise vision, roadmap, governance model, and priorities for Procore.
  • Translate business needs into scalable platform capabilities, workflows, integrations, and adoption priorities.
  • Measure platform performance and value through adoption, process compliance, data quality, workflow efficiency, and operational outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the enterprise Procore roadmap, balancing near-term operational needs with long-term platform maturity.
  • Evaluate enhancements, module expansion, releases, pilots, integrations, and process redesign opportunities, and develop business cases for major investments.
  • Establish and maintain platform governance, including decision rights, intake processes, prioritization rules, escalation paths, and approval forums.
  • Own and prioritize the Procore backlog across enhancements, process changes, reporting needs, integrations, and adoption improvements.
  • Gather requirements from Operations, Finance, Safety, Quality, IT, Data, Analytics, project teams, and executive stakeholders, then communicate priorities and trade-offs.
  • Define platform outcomes and KPIs related to adoption, process compliance, data completeness, workflow cycle times, reporting, and value realization.
  • Partner across Operations, IT, Finance, Analytics, and regional teams to align platform decisions with project execution, enterprise architecture, and business processes.
  • Assess Procore product roadmap developments and releases for operational, technical, training, governance, and data impacts.
  • Define business requirements for integrations with ERP, Power BI, scheduling, labour planning, service, fabrication, HRIS, and other construction platforms.
  • Lead the enterprise adoption strategy, define expectations for good usage, identify barriers, and ensure adoption efforts support better process consistency and decision-making.

Must Haves

  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Technology Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of construction operations and Procore platform experience.
  • 7 to 12+ years of experience in construction operations, construction technology, project delivery, business systems, digital transformation, or platform ownership.
  • Strong experience with Procore or a comparable construction management platform.
  • Demonstrated experience defining roadmaps, managing backlogs, leading platform governance, or owning business requirements for enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction project delivery, project controls, field operations, document control, financial workflows, and project lifecycle processes.
  • Strong stakeholder leadership, facilitation, decision-making, communication, and change leadership skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Working knowledge of ERP, reporting, middleware, APIs, cloud databases, analytics environments, data flows, and integration dependencies.
  • Ability to work primarily in an office environment with frequent weekly site engagement and regular movement through active construction environments.

Nice to Haves

  • 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience with Procore or a comparable construction management platform, with current Procore certifications.
  • Experience working across multiple projects, regions, departments, or business units.
  • Experience with construction data, Power BI reporting, integrations, ERP workflows, enterprise analytics, or data governance.
  • Experience developing business cases, value realization measures, prioritization frameworks, and executive platform performance reporting.
  • Experience leading enterprise adoption, release evaluation, platform pilots, or cross-functional operating model design.

About Modern Niagara

We build for life.

We build for the life that happens indoors. We know that Canadians spend the vast majority of their time inside buildings. From receiving healthcare to legislating and representing citizens to participating in sports and other activities, we make any space comfortable and healthy for those who use it. We are committed to providing exceptional occupant experiences.

We build for the life of the building. Buildings can best reach the objectives they were set out to achieve when we look at them over the course of their entire life, including design, construction, operation, maintenance, and improvement. For us, using data and evidence to inform decisions provides us and our partners with an effective path towards high-performing, sustainable facilities.

We build for the life of our communities. We know that buildings do not exist in a vacuum. Buildings, streets, and the people that occupy and use them are but a few of the ingredients that make up our cities and communities. We believe that nurturing social equity, enabling economic activity, and reducing our impact on the environment in all that we do – including how we build and maintain our buildings – is integral to playing a positive role in sustaining our communities for us and for future generations.

Modern Niagara helps building owners, managers, and general contractors achieve their objectives by meeting the mechanical, electrical, integrated building technology, and building services needs of their buildings across Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Southwestern Ontario, and Ottawa. We also develop custom, turnkey solutions to help reach the desired outcomes.

Recognized by SMACNA and Canadian Occupational Safety Magazine among Canada’s safest employers since 2019, Modern Niagara has been a Platinum Club member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies since 2002.
