Construction Technical Inspector

The Construction Technical Inspector manages the South Fill Project at Buckley Space Force Base, coordinating with contractors bringing fill material into the Restricted Area and serving as the main point of contact for scheduling and communication between contractors, security forces, the COR, and airfield management; this role requires obtaining and maintaining an airfield driving badge and escorting badge through Airfield Management/Security Forces, escorting contractors to various areas as needed by the Squadron, and ensuring compliance with all applicable government and safety regulations, and requires a valid driver's license, the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, and familiarity with construction practices and techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the South Fill Project on Buckley SFB by coordinating with other contractors bringing fill into the Restricted Area.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for scheduling and communication between contractors, security forces, COR and airfield management.
  • Will obtain an airfield driving badge and an escorting badge from Airfield Management/Security Forces.
  • Will escort other contractors to various areas depending on Squadron needs.
  • Will comply with the following Government Directives:
  • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Army Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFARS)
  • ANG Engineering Technical Letters and Series 32 Regulations and Instructions
  • NGB Acquisition Policy Letters
  • Office Operating Instructions
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), State, and local safety regulations
  • Unified Facility Criteria (UFC)

Required Qualifications:

  • Holds a valid drivers license
  • Will be required to hold and maintain a security clearance
  • Is familiar with construction practices and techniques
