What to Expect

As a CSA Foreman at Tesla, you will be instrumental in leading new construction and building improvements at the Sparks Factory. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring safety standards, managing team tasks, and maintaining project schedules. This role is physically demanding and requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Your commitment to excellence will contribute significantly to the success of our projects and the overall mission of Tesla.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with the CSA Management team to oversee construction and facility improvement projects, including demolition, coring, painting, framing, finishes, insulated metal panels (IMP), concrete and more
  • Engage in daily activities such as loading/unloading materials, operating tools, and distributing items to designated locations
  • Drive projects, Delegate task and responsibilities to construction leads according to priorities and plans with a focus on safe use of tools and equipment. Enforce the proper use of PPE
  • Survey and layout jobs, perform tasks beyond core competency, and adapt to evolving company needs
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mobile equipment, with training and certifications provided
  • Implement proper procedures and standards to ensure projects stay on schedule, promptly reporting any delays or issues to management

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction or 2 years in management
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail, ability to comprehend work orders and project descriptions
  • Proficient in job site safety, evaluating hazards, and conducting pre-work task planning
  • Strong people skills for effective collaboration at all management levels
  • Experience interpreting architectural drawings, details, and specifications is advantageous
  • Physical agility for activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and overseeing materials; willingness to work off-shifts as needed
