Job Description

A defense and government contracting firm is seeking Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs) to monitor and document construction and renovation activities at sensitive government facilities. CSTs play a critical role in protecting classified information by maintaining continuous oversight of contractor personnel working in or near restricted areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous visual surveillance of construction contractor personnel working within or adjacent to sensitive or restricted government spaces
  • Escort and monitor contractor workers to prevent unauthorized access to classified areas, equipment, or information
  • Maintain detailed daily logs documenting contractor activities, personnel counts, and any security incidents
  • Coordinate with facility security officers and government site managers to enforce access control policies
  • Identify and immediately report any security violations, suspicious activity, or policy breaches
  • Conduct thorough inspections of contractor tools, equipment, and materials entering and exiting work areas
  • Support site security briefings and contractor badging processes as required

Requirements

  • Active security clearance required (minimum Secret; TS preferred)
  • US citizenship required
  • Prior experience in physical security, military, law enforcement, or government facility security
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive during extended surveillance shifts
  • Strong observational skills and ability to maintain thorough written records
  • Ability to work onsite in New England, ND

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior CST or TSCM (Technical Surveillance Countermeasures) experience
  • Familiarity with NISPOM, ICD 705, or similar government security standards
  • Military security, intelligence, or counterintelligence background
  • Experience working on government construction or renovation projects
