Construction Supervisor – Project Homes - Hunter Region

Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 + Superannuation + Company Car

Perks:

  • Join an award-winning major home builder with an outstanding team culture
  • Ongoing training and development with a dedicated Training & Development Manager
  • Hands-on support from an experienced Construction Manager with genuine opportunities for long-term career progression

About The Company:

My client is an award-winning major residential home builder with an established reputation for quality, innovation and customer service. With a strong presence across NSW, they are committed to delivering high-quality homes while creating a positive experience for their customers throughout the building journey.

With a collaborative and supportive team environment, my client places a strong emphasis on professional development, structured processes and building lasting relationships with employees, trades and customers. They are now looking to welcome a Construction Supervisor to their Hunter team who is passionate about residential construction and keen to develop their career with a well-established builder.

The Role:

Reporting to an experienced and supportive Construction Manager, you will oversee the construction of residential project homes from site start through to completion and settlement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor looking to join a supportive team or a qualified carpenter ready to take the next step into a supervisory position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the construction process from site start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered within allocated timeframes
  • Coordinating and scheduling trades and suppliers to maintain an efficient construction workflow
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure quality, safety and compliance with approved plans, specifications, building codes and Australian Standards
  • Monitoring construction progress and addressing issues to keep projects on track
  • Maintaining accurate construction documentation and updating scheduling systems
  • Liaising regularly with clients to provide progress updates, respond to queries and maintain positive relationships throughout the build
  • Working closely with internal teams, including Estimating, Administration, Trade Allocation and Maintenance, to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Identifying and reporting safety concerns while ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
  • Building strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and other key stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of site performance while maintaining high standards of workmanship, presentation and customer service

About You:

My client is open to considering two candidate profiles for this opportunity:

Option 1 – Experienced Construction Supervisor

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience supervising residential project home builds
  • Trade background in carpentry or bricklaying
  • Certificate IV in Building and Construction, ideally completed
  • Demonstrated understanding of residential construction processes, site coordination and quality control
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage trades and maintain positive client relationships

Option 2 – Qualified Carpenter Looking to Transition Off the Tools

  • Qualified carpenter with a genuine interest in moving into residential construction supervision
  • Completed Certificate IV in Building and Construction
  • Strong understanding of residential building methods, site processes and construction sequencing
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to coordinate trades and liaise with clients
  • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and the motivation to develop into a successful Construction Supervisor
  • For both profiles, a current driver's licence, Construction Industry White Card and the ability to meet relevant building supervision licensing requirements will be important. You will be organised, accountable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety and customer satisfaction are priorities.

Why Join:

  • Competitive Salary Package: Earn $100,000–$125,000 + Superannuation + Company Car, with remuneration based on your experience and capability.
  • Supportive Leadership: Work alongside a knowledgeable Construction Manager who provides hands-on guidance and support to help you succeed.
  • Dedicated Training and Development: Benefit from a Training & Development Manager who is committed to building your technical skills and supporting your career progression.
  • Long-Term Career Opportunities: Join an established builder that values employee development and encourages team members to grow within the business.
  • Positive Team Culture: Become part of a collaborative construction team that values communication, professionalism and lasting relationships.
  • Established Building Processes: Work with structured systems and procedures designed to support efficient construction delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Whether you are already supervising project homes or are a qualified carpenter ready to step into management, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding long-term career with an award-winning residential builder.
