The Construction Supervisor monitors ongoing operational activities to ensure that the work is being done correctly and the project stays on schedule. This position responsibilities also include ordering supplies/materials, scheduling, equipment maintenance as needed, and training new employees.
Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures.
Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Target Programme.
Inspect sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
Supervise and instruct the team as well as subcontractors.
Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
In-charge in arranging proper equipment for excavation and performing excavation following the depth and dimensionsand also arranging de-watering and shoring on deep excavation.
Supervise and coordinate in the performance of activities such as foundation laying concrete forming masonry works carpentry works bricklaying backfilling pipe laying chambering and shuttering works.
Coordinate with various teams and participate in all claim resolutions meetings and evaluate work plans for all contractors and ensure completion of all tasks with help of all supervisors.
Carry out progressive punch listing to ensure that the works are completed to the full extent possible prior to acceptance.
Maintain an accurate record of employee attendance.
Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work practices at all times in conjunction with the Environmental Safety and Health Supervisor.
Facilitate toolbox meetings/Daily Pre start meetings to foster a close and productive team environment.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
Familiar with the construction and material specifications .Working knowledge of construction tools and
equipment. Experience in supervising construction projects. Understanding of proper safety procedures and
recognition of hazards
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
