Role

Summary
Environmental CSC’s must be able to safely work alongside the construction crew inside electrical substations, transmission, and distribution systems. Identify, resolve, and communicate potential and existing environmental concerns and deficiencies. Devise and communicate plans to ensure the team is environmentally compliant based on scope of work and environmental regulations, for both state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a subject matter expert for the construction team on environmental requirements pertaining to construction projects inside substations and on right-of-ways.
- Ensure worksites are environmentally compliant based on the work scope and environmental requirements/limitations.
- Know all environmental permit requirements regarding cleanup and restoration to help the team close out all permits following projects’ construction completion.
- Identify and work with the construction team to resolve all environmental potential and existing deficiencies.
- Be proactive with project sites in the face of impending weather events to avoid environmental issues.
- Understand environmental compliance pertaining to state and federal regulations and requirements and the consequences of non-compliance.
- Be able to come up with solutions to field issues resulting in environmental non-compliance and put an action plan in place for the construction team to follow.
- Work with other construction site coordinators to help them understand how the project work will impact the environment and what safeguards are needed to ensure environmental compliance.
- Be able to communicate and work with project teams prior to construction to identify and come up with solutions for potential access, LOD, BMPs, and/or constructability issues observed in project drawings and documents to aid in preventing permitting issues upon commencement of construction.
- Be able to perform all electronic administrative requirements. All reporting is electronic in nature and requires regular use of email, Microsoft Office and Teams, and client-based programs such as Unifier and Intelex.
- Work a minimum 5 days a week, 8 hours per day in a full-time position with the potential of daily overtime.
- Driving long distances to and from work may be involved and clear Driving Record and background check are required.
- Use of fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment is required, and said clothing and equipment are provided.
- Use of a company vehicle for work is required with adherence to all company vehicle policies.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
- Experience in environmental regulatory compliance.
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in the electrical construction industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility with work hours, must be able to work long hours, nights, and weekends when necessary.
- Ability to interact and communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.
- Ability to write technically on subject matter.
- Ability to read and understand all pertinent documents, including plans, specifications, and scope documents.
- Ability to use a computer and computer programs at a high level, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, Email, etc.
- Ability to execute and pass all training.
- Position requires a background check and training.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Essential for ADA compliance. Detail the physical demands (lifting, sitting, standing) and the work environment (office, field, or hybrid).
Construction Site Coordinators must be able to work on-site in an outdoor setting with various types of terrain. This position requires walking, bending, and standing throughout the workday.

Pay Transparency: In accordance with local law, the range below is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Actual compensation will vary based on specific relevant experience, education, certifications, and other compensable factors.
