An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Project Manager to join our Group Property team, supporting Rolls-Royce infrastructure projects across the UK. This role provides a great opportunity to influence and shape the way infrastructure projects are delivered across the organisation.

In this role you will lead a range of infrastructure projects from small scale refurbishments to multi-layered facilities/ construction throughout the entire project life-cycle.

Key Accountabilities

  • You will be responsible for safe delivery of construction projects within the key parameters of cost, schedule and quality.
  • You will ensure that the relevant RR processes and standards are deployed in a consistent way and, where required, optimised to support RR infrastructure programmes.
  • You will play a key role in supporting reviews of all aspects of the construction services and delivery approach to drive continuous improvement of our approaches.
  • You will work alongside a team of Rolls-Royce employees and supply chain partners taking accountability for quality of their inputs and performance.
  • Support Audits or Assurance reviews as required to maintain compliance framework
  • Working closely with RR Construction Professional Services Framework Partners to drive sharing of industry lessons learned, best practice approaches, new tools / technology and ensuring RR tools / processes are aligned to industry approaches where practicable
  • You will work in close alignment and collaboration with a wide range of RR central support functions as well as operating units.

You will be required to demonstrate.

Recent senior level and relevant experience in delivering multi-layered construction and/or infrastructure programmes/projects in regulated industry. Relevant experience in supporting and managing multi-layered project teams comprising supply chain partners as well as in-house resources originating from a corporate matrix organisation and confirmed ability to scrutinise provisions of professional services and construction contracts. Demonstrate thorough understanding of key Procurement Methods used in Construction industry’ supported by Experience of working with NEC suite of contracts. Working knowledge of other types of Contracts will be welcomed, Exhibit robust knowledge of statutory, regulatory and Construction Industry requirements of duty holders with emphasis on Client’s obligations throughout the construction process in general.

Position Qualifications:

You will be qualified to degree level, or have equivalent construction industry experience, and ideally will be member, or working towards membership of a construction related professional project body; Additional qualifications in line with the Association for Project Management (APM), or Project Management Institute (PMI) requirements will be beneficial
