Creativity. Innovation. A desire to effect positive change. That’s what it takes to work at Fuss & O’Neill – because that’s what we do for the communities in which we work: we create, innovate, and design long-lasting improvements that improve quality of life. Quality of life is also important on the job, so we’ve prioritized work-life balance by offering flexible/remote work opportunities, part-time benefits, and generous PTO. We believe that each day is an opportunity to support one another, to support our clients, and to support our communities. If you feel the same, then you’ve found your future.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Services Manager to lead and grow our construction phase services across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. This is a leadership opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in both the field and office, excels at managing teams, and is passionate about delivering high-quality projects from design through construction.

The Construction Services Manager will oversee construction administration and inspection services for municipal, transportation, water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. This individual will manage field staff, coordinate with design teams and clients, ensure contract compliance, and drive operational excellence in construction phase delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction administration and inspection services for public and private infrastructure projects
  • Oversee resident engineers, construction inspectors, and field staff
  • Serve as primary liaison between clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal design teams
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and construction phase risk
  • Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
  • Conduct site visits and quality assurance reviews
  • Develop and implement construction services standards, best practices, and QA/QC procedures
  • Support business development efforts including proposal preparation, scope development, and client presentations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transition from design through construction

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Associates Degree in Construction management or similar field; Bachelors a plus
  • 7+ years of field construction services experience
  • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
  • NASSCO or NICET Certification a plus
  • Experience with municipal, water/wastewater, transportation, or infrastructure projects
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and contractor coordination
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, public procurement, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel within the Northeast Region (CT, MA, RI)

This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. We're committed to supporting work-life balance while maintaining strong team connection and project delivery.
