Job Description


The primary purpose of the Construction Quality Control Specialist is to ensure that construction, finishing, furniture, decorative, and related works meet the quality standards established by approved designs, technical requirements, contractual terms, and the company's quality criteria.

The specialist is expected to be primarily present on the construction site, monitor the progress of works, identify deficiencies in a timely manner, and consistently ensure their rectification through collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the quality of construction, finishing, installation, furniture, and decorative works on a daily basis.
  • Verify that the works performed comply with approved drawings, technical requirements, and the company's established quality standards.
  • Compare actual completed works against project documentation and promptly record any deviations.
  • Oversee the quality of materials, furniture, decorative elements, equipment, and other goods delivered to the site.
  • Verify that delivered goods conform to approved samples, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify substandard, incomplete, damaged, or incorrectly executed works and deliveries.
  • Compile deficiency lists and photo reports, and track the progress of their rectification.
  • Require contractors and suppliers to rectify identified deficiencies.
  • Participate in the planning of the quality control process, as well as in the development of inspection stages and checklists.
  • Ensure that critical works are not continued or closed out without prior quality inspection.
  • Participate in site meetings and present quality-related issues, risks, and proposed solutions.
  • Prepare periodic reports on completed inspections, identified issues, and rectification status.
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, designers, and internal teams to ensure the prompt resolution of quality issues.

Requirements


  • Ability to assess the quality of construction and furnishing works.
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings, floor plans, detail drawings, and technical documents.
  • Ability to verify the conformity between drawings and actual execution.
  • General knowledge of construction and finishing materials, furniture, and decorative elements.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to clearly articulate problems and propose solutions.
  • Ability to prepare reports, deficiency lists, and inspection records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is desirable.
  • Work experience in the construction industry.
  • Quality control experience will be considered an advantage.
