Construction Project Manager / Estimator

Eden Prairie, MN | Direct Hire, Contract-to-Hire, or Contract | $90,000–$120,000

Konik is partnering with a growing, family-owned commercial construction company seeking to add a Construction Project Manager / Estimator to their team. This organization delivers projects across a variety of commercial sectors throughout the Twin Cities and offers a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where employees have direct visibility and impact on projects from preconstruction through completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, managing projects end-to-end, and contributing within a close-knit team environment focused on long-term relationships, quality work, and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, municipalities, architects, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and project documentation for constructability and scope alignment
  • Track project budgets, projections, subcontractor costs, and overall financial performance
  • Support scheduling, procurement coordination, and project execution activities
  • Assist with business development efforts, client meetings, and proposal presentations
  • Lead project closeout activities including punch lists, turnover documentation, and final project delivery

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction project management and/or estimating
  • General contractor experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
  • Experience with Procore, AutoCAD, or related construction software is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Self-starter mentality with strong attention to detail and follow-through

Direct Hire - Compensation & Benefits

  • Contract roles are paid hourly between $40-60/hour. Contract candidates are eligible for insurance and benefits through Konik.
  • Base salary: $90,000–$120,000 (depending on experience).
