Job Description

Greenvolt Next is committed to decentralized energy production, as it represents one of the key pillars of the energy transition and a crucial lever for reducing electricity bills. We have partnerships across Europe, based on local expertise and a deep understanding of each market.

Greenvolt Next Spain is seeking a Project Manager who is fully accountable for the successful execution of assigned projects, from handover by the Sales team through commissioning, client acceptance, and project close-out. The role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, to the required quality standards, while protecting project margins and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. The Project Manager leads and coordinates all internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and external partners to fulfill contractual commitments and deliver the expected financial results.

Main responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of assigned projects and develop, maintain, and execute the project plan, including scope, milestones, schedule, resources, procurement, permits, risk management, quality, health and safety, commissioning, and project close-out.
  • Monitor and control the project budget and overall financial performance by validating the cost baseline, commitments, and invoicing; updating forecasts; protecting project margins; anticipating deviations; and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client throughout project execution, managing expectations, providing regular progress updates, resolving issues or conflicts, and safeguarding both the commercial relationship and Greenvolt Next's contractual rights.
  • Coordinate and ensure the timely delivery of milestones and deliverables across Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Construction, Legal, Finance, HSEQ, Permitting, Commissioning, and O&M teams, escalating critical issues and decision points as required.
  • Work closely with Site Managers as an extension of the Project Manager's leadership on site, setting priorities and ensuring effective day-to-day execution, subcontractor coordination and supervision, health and safety compliance, quality control, progress monitoring, productivity, and the prompt communication of incidents or deviations.
  • Lead and oversee contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, productivity targets, certification requirements, change management, and claims administration.
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements, approved designs, applicable regulations, permits, and Greenvolt Next's quality, environmental, and health & safety standards, with the authority to stop unsafe work whenever necessary.
  • Manage project risks, scope changes, change orders, deviations, non-conformities, and claims, documenting impacts on cost and schedule while obtaining all necessary approvals.
  • Ensure a successful commissioning, legal compliance, and structured project handover by completing final documentation, securing client acceptance, resolving outstanding items, completing financial close-out, documenting lessons learned, and transferring the project to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or an equivalent university qualification.
  • Additional training or certification in Project Management, Construction, Energy, or Occupational Health & Safety (HSE) is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction, energy, or industrial installation projects, with experience in solar PV self-consumption and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) being highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in project planning, budget control, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and contractual close-out.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project planning and monitoring tools.
  • Professional working proficiency in English is considered an advantage.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and ownership mindset.
  • Results-driven, with a strong focus on project profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, communication, and proactive problem-solving abilities
