The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy in Spain as a Construction Project Manager – 12-Month FTC (Parental Leave Cover) In this role, you will lead and support the execution of facility infrastructure projects in an industrial environment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

You will support the planning and execution of infrastructure projects within an industrial environment, ensuring facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will contribute to upgrades, renovations, and maintenance strategies, gaining hands-on experience in complex facility projects while developing your technical and project management skills in a collaborative and dynamic team.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Plan and execution of facility upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects.

  • Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance.

  • Monitor project progress and resolve issues to meet timelines and performance targets.

  • Enforce safety standards and ensure full compliance with regulations and internal policies.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of projects, assets, and maintenance activities.

  • Identify improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and extend asset lifespan.

  • Respond to critical facility incidents, including outside regular working hours when required.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

  • Proven experience managing complex technical or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards.

  • Solid problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
