We are looking for a talented CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER SENIOR (12MONTH TEMPORARY) to join our team, specializing in FACILITIES for our CUMMINS FUEL SYSTEMS BUSINESS, located in CIUDAD JUÁREZ, CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO (Blvd. Juan Pablo II 1951, Cdad. Río Bravo, 32550 Juárez, Chih.).

This position is 100% on-site.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:     

  • Design and construction of the cafeteria for the Juárez business unit
  • Support construction project activities in Juárez
  • Support internal Cummins administrative processes (purchase orders, HSE risk analysis)
  • Prepare executive progress reports for leadership
  • Manage design and construction of new kitchen equipment
  • Oversee contractor performance on-site
  • Main KPIs:
  • Schedule compliance
    • Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
    • Cost Performance Index (CPI)
    • Control of unplanned changes
    • Safety incident rate
    • Post-construction pending items closure
    • Non conformities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or Construction Engineering
  • More than 5 years of experience in industrial construction project management
  • Proven experience managing projects from design phase through delivery and post construction
  • Experience coordinating construction contractors, cost control, schedule tracking, and on site decision making
  • Intermediate level in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Experience reviewing executive project documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate conversational English
  • Experience using Revit 3D
  • Experience with medium and low voltage electrical installations
  • Experience with fire protection system installations
  • Experience with construction permit processes in Juárez

Education/

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Engineering
