We are looking for a talented CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER (12‑MONTH TEMPORARY) to join our team, specializing in FACILITIES for our CUMMINS CORPORATE BUSINESS, located in SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, SLP, MÉXICO (Eje 122 200, Zona Industrial, 78090 San Luis Potosí, S.L.P.).
This position is 100% on-site.
Responsible for ensuring the proper execution of an industrial project from design review, construction management, and post-construction support (infant care), ensuring compliance with schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Design and construction of new offices in SLP
- Support in construction project activities in SLP
- Support internal Cummins administrative processes (purchase orders, HSE risk analysis)
- Prepare executive progress reports for leadership staff
- Manage the design and construction of equipment such as furniture, multimedia systems, and IT equipment
- Manage contractors’ performance on-site
- Main KPIs:
- Schedule compliance
- Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
- Cost Performance Index (CPI)
- Control of unplanned changes
- Safety incident rate
- Post-construction pending items closure
- Non ‑conformities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or Construction Engineering
- More than 5 years of experience in industrial construction project management
- Proven experience managing projects from design phase through delivery and post ‑construction
- Experience coordinating construction contractors, cost control, schedule tracking, and on ‑site decision ‑making
- Intermediate level in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Experience reviewing executive project documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate conversational English
- Experience using Revit 3D
- Experience with medium ‑ and low ‑voltage electrical installations
- Experience with fire protection system installations
- Experience with construction permit processes in Juárez

Education/
