Within our Gas, Renewables & Power (GRP) segment, the Project Execution team plays a critical role in delivering complex renewable energy projects safely, on time, and within budget. The Construction Manager is a key leader in this process, ensuring successful project execution from construction through commissioning and handover.


In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects while maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

Activities

🚧As a Construction Manager, you will lead the execution, coordination, and delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring performance across safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Project Execution & Leadership

  • Lead construction activities to ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective, and timely project delivery
  • Manage contractors and site teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards
  • Chair daily and weekly project meetings, driving accountability and progress tracking
  • Provide technical input on construction drawings, contracts, and execution strategies

Safety, Compliance & Quality

  • Champion HSE excellence, ensuring compliance with TotalEnergies standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, NERC, ISO, environmental)
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to contractual and environmental obligations
  • Support environmental compliance, including audits and adherence to permits and land use requirements

Planning, Scheduling & Cost Management

  • Oversee project schedules, identifying risks and proactively managing delays
  • Validate contractor schedules, payment applications, and change orders
  • Manage project budgets and P&L performance, ensuring financial targets are met
  • Support project planning activities, including scope development and contractor coordination

Operations, Performance & Asset Management

  • Monitor site performance, identifying issues and implementing improvement actions
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with third-party providers
  • Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization efforts
  • Oversee site inventory, ensuring proper tracking and availability of materials and spare parts

Stakeholder & Team Engagement

  • Act as the primary interface with contractors, stakeholders, and property owners
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, operations, and support teams
  • Train and mentor team members, supporting development and performance management
  • Support lease, easement, and community relationship activities


In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring safe project execution and successful delivery of renewable infrastructure

Candidate Profile

👤What You Bring

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in construction, project management, or the energy industry, including previous experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Previous utility-scale solar site experience required.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project execution
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
  • Proven experience managing contractors, budgets, and project timelines
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or BESS)
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural environments
