Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager - Heavy Lift Equipment for a project with ADNOC client and the position will be based in Habshan Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing heavy lifting and equipment-related construction activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution in accordance with project specifications, approved procedures, schedules, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise heavy lifting operations and construction activities on site.
• Oversee the mobilization, installation, operation, and demobilization of heavy lifting equipment.
• Ensure lifting activities are executed in accordance with approved lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, planning, HSE, and subcontractor teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements and ADNOC standards.
• Ensure all lifting equipment, cranes, and associated accessories are properly certified, inspected, and fit for purpose.
• Review and coordinate lifting plans, crane studies, rigging arrangements, and related technical documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure activities are completed safely, on schedule, and within project requirements.
• Identify potential construction issues and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture throughout all lifting operations.
• Provide regular progress updates and report any risks, delays, or issues to the Project Management Team.

Expected:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a relevant technical discipline.
• 15+ years of total Oil & Gas / construction experience
• 10+ years of relevant heavy lifting / heavy lift equipment experience
• 5+ years in a Construction Manager, Construction Superintendent, or equivalent senior supervisory role
• Extensive experience in heavy lifting operations and construction management, preferably within major Oil & Gas projects.
• Proven experience managing heavy lift equipment and complex lifting activities.
• Experience working on EPC/EPCM projects, preferably with ADNOC or ADNOC Gas projects
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations, crane management, rigging, and heavy lift execution.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and international lifting standards.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams in a challenging project environment.
• Relevant lifting and safety certifications will be an advantage.
